Bio
Ryan McDavid. Guyana. Indie • Dream Pop • Shoegaze • Darkwave.
Some nights it feels like everything’s changing too fast. The cycle repeats. Silence heavier than sound.
Looking for the exit.

A Guyanese indie artist blending dream pop, shoegaze, and darkwave.
Ryan McDavid is a Guyanese indie artist making songs that live in the spaces between indie rock, darkwave, dream pop, and shoegaze. His music is sad, strange, and honest, built from late, night feelings and the kind of thoughts that keep you awake at 2 a.m.
For years, he was the “band guy,” playing bass and guitar in local projects like Behold the Jury. His solo work became the anchor, a way to keep a consistent vision while everything else shifts.
McDavid’s catalog is cinematic but human. Tracks like “Runaway (Late Night Reverb)” slow down time, turning nostalgia and insomnia into sound. He’s collaborated with fellow Guyanese artist Ben Franklyn, crossed worlds with Rosanna Fung on “Never Seen You Like This,” and traveled abroad playing open mics across California and Florida while chasing the dream in cities like Long Beach, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orlando, and Miami.
